Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV)
Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen.
What motivates you to keep going when you have a bad day or game? It is your family or friends? Perhaps, your teammates or coaches? As a Christian, the Bible tells us in James that we will face various trials or hardships in our lives and to count it all joy (1:2).
How can we be happy in the midst of frustration, defeat or pain? By Faith! Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. Our Faith in God gives us the confidence that whatever our situation is we have the victory. We typically only see victory as something that happens after we've earned it or worked hard. However, Jesus won the victory for us as Christians when He died on the cross. Since we have that victory in Jesus, we can have hope. We hope in the unseen. The faith in an unseen God helps us have joy in difficult situations. So count it all joy when you go through defeat or pain, knowing that your faith will help you get through anything.
What evidence of God working have you seen in your life and others around you?
Lord, when I'm going through impossible situations, I will walk by faith knowing that I have the victory in you. Help me remember that my faith in you will see me through those tough times. In Jesus Name, Amen!
